    Developer Apply Error

    Hello mDigger Team!
The first i try to develope a Template Channel. When I Apply XSL Template (F5) i get an error following:

System.Exception: Data from source was not loaded.
           at ChannelBuilder.SourceEditor.GetSource()
           at ChannelBuilder.MainForm.toolStripButtonApply_Click(Object sender, EventArgs e)

Please, you explain to me and help me fix it soon. Thanks you!

    Re: Developer Apply Error

    Hi,

To apply an XSL template you need to load an XML source first.
To do so please enter the URL of a site you are trying to create a template for in the "URL" field on the toolbar and press the "Load Source" button. Template Builder will load HTML from the site and automaticaly convert it into XML document. The resulting XML document will be opened in the "XPath Query" tab. After this you will be able to test XPath queries against the source document or apply your template.

    Re: Developer Apply Error

    Hi, blove!

Before any channel can be updated (or formed) it has to be saved on the server.
To be able to save channels on the server please register as a developer here http://www.mdigger.net/en/developer/agreement.aspx and wait for confirmation e-mail.

You can find more information on how to create, form and publish channels here http://developer.mdigger.net (please use your mDigger e-mail/password to login).

    Re: Developer Apply Error

    Thanks Ilia very much!
I have registed before, it's the same my account on device.  when i Save (Ctrl+S), i get error:
System.InvalidOperationException: Client found response content type of ''. but expected 'text/xml'.
The request failed with the error message:
        --
        <HTML><HEAD><META HTTP-EQUIV="REFRESH" CONTENT="0" URL="http://deverlope.mdigger.net/ChannelWebservice.asm..."

I have known edit XSL, XML, HTML,... but I think, here, i am wrong in settings of mDigger Template Builder.
Could you help me fix error above and if possible, could you tell me step-by-step setting and build and publish template on the webservice!? (the Documentation only guide step by step edit XSL template content, i think it should include settings guide and collection of possible error with fixing guide)
Thanks Ilia very much more! i want to be a mDigger developer very much because i like it, it's easy to use, fast, offline (effectivly), open developing and i'm expecting to mDigger's support more and more
    Good successfull for mDigger Team!

    Re: Developer Apply Error

    Hi blove!

It does not look to me as our server's response. More like some proxy error page sent back to the client probably due to the authentication problems. Could you please post the whole error message you receive? Do you use any proxy servers?

And by the way it is developer.mdigger.net not deverlope.mdigger.net. Please check "Tools \ Settings... \ Connection \ Server" setting in mDigger Template Builder to make sure it has the right value.

After successfully saving the channel you will be able to update it by pressing "Update Channel" and read it on the main mDigger site at http://www.mdigger.net/en/catalog/myChannels.aspx (on condition that template is correct and there were no problems during the transformation).
About publishing the channel please read "Publishing Your Packet Templates within mDigger Service" section on this page http://developer.mdigger.net/ (just read "packet" as "channel"). I doubt I can explain it better than that.

    Thank you for trying!

    Re: Developer Apply Error

    Hi, Ilia!
I have proxy server and i try to set address IP of proxy server in mDigger Template Builder Settings But i still get that error.
All description of error i wrote above, nothing else i see. Sorry!, "deverlope" is my wrong spelling, it exactly is "developer" as show.
Could you explain to me how to set proxy, and possible errors!?
    Thank you!

    Re: Developer Apply Error

    Proxy server address format is
        server:port
    e.g.
        127.0.0.1:8080

Current version of mDigger Template Builder also requires the right proxy server settings set in IE options (Tools \ Internet Options \ Connections \ LAN Settings). Otherwise the "Open Channel" dialog won't work correctly.

Blove, what OS version do you use? Do you know your proxy server name/version? Does it require authentication by itself?
Am I correcly understand that you have no problems browsing http://developer.mdigger.net site in IE?

There also might be a chanse that setting SSL option in mDigger Template Builder will help.

    Re: Developer Apply Error

It's OK! Thanks Ilia very much much much!
I saved channel successfully. The problem is my proxy setting: i forgot set PORT, only set Proxy server IP.
Now i will continue developing and i hope i will have your support more in the future. and I Thanks you for that!
Happy chrismas to Ilia! Good luck!
