Initial Setup Configuration for Storage choice

I just installed mDigger on my Windows Mobile Pocket PC phone's storage card (to save internal memory space), created an account online with mDigger, chose my channels and successfully logged on from my WM phone and started the sync progress.

Unfortunately during setup and sync there is no mention about choosing whether the channels are to be stored in internal or storage card memory. I noticed during my intial sync that my internal storage memory was depleting more and more and had to try to cancel the initial sync (which didn't work). I ended up having to do a soft reset.

I incorrectly assumed that because I had installed mDigger to my storage card that it would also store all if it's downloaded channel date on the storage card too.

It would be handy if during the intial installation and setup that users were able to determine where channel data is to be stored before their first sync.

Re: Initial Setup Configuration for Storage choice

Hello and  thank you for the suggestion to include a choice of location for data storage during the initial installation process. I've forwarded it to our WM developers to consider for the next version or build.

I am not sure whether you've seen it or not, but please select the "settings" option from the main menu and then go to the "storage" tab or (or you may need to select "next" twice to get to the storage settings screen) before you refresh your channels (or "mClips"). This screen lets you select the location you would like all of your mClips to be stored (for instance on a memory card). If you do this before you try to refresh the next time, it should solve the problem with the internal memory you were encountering.

Thanks again for your feedback, and please let us know if you are still having trouble or if there are any other improvements you would like to suggest.
